Week-end!!

Well, not really, but I'm excited anyway! The test is finally history, and although I'm not at all satisfied with how I did it, I don't care, not at the moment. Because, tomorrow, I'm getting a new puppy!

It's so exciting! Unfortunately, I live in an appartement, and can't really keep a puppy (at least that's what my mom thins), but tomorrow I'm adopting one and taking it to my grandpa's house, which has a huge backyard.

I'm thinking about the dog's name. Basically, I'm torn between Justin and Emmett. I think both are so cute (and ridiculously funny!).

What are you up to?

Talk to the hand.

Today, I've kept myself busy.

Went to college, been to a lecture, then ditched college for a while to hang out with my friend Goca who lives in Vienna, and who I therefore don't see much, went back to the library, studied, had another lecture, studied a little bit more.

Came back home, watched some "Desperate Housewives", and am now typing this.

I was coming home from college when I ran into a guy from high school at the bus stop. Not really a friend, more like an acquaitance, but the situation was so weird. I, of course, said hi, and he gave me a smile so fake, Karen Walker would blush, and didn't even introduced me to the girl he was standing with. So, after like two seconds, I was like, "So, ho
w's college", and he was like, "Fine", and then the conversation repeated itself (vice-versa, of course) and then he was just staring at me, waiting for me to leave.

Wow. I'm not like hurt by any of this, I don't really care. However, I've always considered myself a fairly interesting person, and don't understand people who don't let other people prove themselves fun or nice. Like him - he just shut me off completely. Whatever, it's his loss. And trust me, this is NOT the kind of person I would ever try and impress. So, I was like,

I found this new trailer online and had to share it with you guys. I've always loved Lindsay Lohan, and this looks like a really funny comedy.

Anyways, "Twilight" is almost done - what a silly book! Yet, it is interesting, and if you really don;t have any better books to read, pick it up. :)

I am embarassed to admit I am reading "Twilight".

I haven't been interested in this book (or the series) ever since it first appeared, but I picked it up for some reason, and read like 80 pages in one sitting. It is incredibly juvenile, and as my friend would say, there is better-written fanfiction, but I find the central romance very sexy. I am pretty sure I'm reading it because I can't think of anything else (until I get a copy of "The Fire", that is), so it serves its purpose.

Do you have Shelfari? If you do, add me!

Yet another test tomorrow...

...and here I am again, studying at night.

Will I ever learn?

Anyways, the last test went pretty well, considering the amount of distractions I wasn't able to resist - 17/20 points! Nikola rocks British History!!

Let's see if I rock grammar too.

Studying...

...makes me feel depressed.

Tomorrow is this HUGE test in British History, and the Hundred Years' War with France has too many fucking dates. I can't handle this, not in one sitting.

The problem is, I only have one sitting, aka tonight, to learn this.

Maybe I should have started a couple of days ago, but I bet I would forget the dates anyway. And I really, really wanna do good on this test and show everybody what I'm all about. It's SUCH a drag, though.

Anyways, I envy you people who are now reading my blog out of boredom. Go and do something fun for me.

Sarah Palin's Debate Flow Chart

I just thought this was hilarious.
(Click on the picture to see it in its full size ;)

I need a gin tonic.

Lately, my mood has been going up and down, like a yo-yo. I wake up energized (relatively), and feeling good, and by the end of the day, I tend to get moody and blue. I actually cried over nothing two nights ago - well, it definitely was something, but I don't usually get that upset about stuff. Yesterday evening was critical. I was chatting with a friend, when suddenly, a personna non-grata says hi. Wow. It's one of those people who are impossible. You know, not stupid or trivial, but just impossible to deal with. We parted ways a long time ago, but he likes to mess with my mind from time to time.
Anyways, it was horrible. I was pretty cold and reserved, since he managed to stab me in the back on more than one occasion, but afterwards, I realized I was pissed - not necessarily because of him, but because of me, allowing him to piss me off.
Anyways. I need to sort out my moods, pronto!
So today, I watched the pilot episode of "Brothers & Sisters", and loved it! It wasn't like, really exciting, or heart-stopping, but it was a nice, human, calming episode, which I hope the show will continue being.
Thanks for reading!

It's one of my lazy phases. I'm so lazy it hurts. Like, if I need to leave for college, I will inevitably be late - not because I was doing something important, but because of pointless browsing or facebooking.

It's pretty ridiculous to be honest. The biggest problem when it comes to this, is that my ego doesn't stop working, and I'm mad and disappointed if I'm not the best at what at I do, which is of course, impossible. What a vicious circle.

P.S. - Have you seen this? I can't stop watching it over and over again!

Estrogen

I'm again getting my daily doses of estrogen, watching the fifth season of "Desperate Housewives".

God, I love that show. It is, in my humble opinion, one of the few shows that hasn't lost it's touch over the years. Sure, some far-fetched stuff has happened, but still, it has always had that sense of reality to it. Kudos to the writers and the women of Wisteria Lane!

Oh, and did you know Gale Harold stars in the fifth season? I'm super excited!

Here's another summary of movies I've recently seen, which is very typical of me. First, I've seen the anticipated movie "The Women", starring Meg Ryan, Annette Benning, Jada Pinkett Smith (if that's how you spell her name), Debra Messing and Eva Mendes. What a disappointment! It's like "Sex and the City: The Movie" gone terribly wrong (as I'm sure its sequel will), and it's just plain boring and annoying.

And there's the new James Bond movie, "Quantum of Solace." I generally like James Bond movies, especially the breath-taking "Casino Royale." If you haven't seen it, rent it, you'll love it. I was so glad after watching "Casino", thinking, "finally, they got it right", just to be let down by "Quantum." Apart from the splendid special effects, the story is ridiculous and dull, and the Bond girls are completely forgettable.

Anyways, I'm so NOT looking forward to next week and all the tests that await me at college, but c'est la vie. At least I have some "Housewives" to help me make it through.

Movies update!

So, I was thinking I would update you with some movies I've seen recently (apart from "The Dark Knight", which I've already commented on). There are only three of them, which proves how little time I have on my hands (if I could I would watch a movie every day). And by the way, if you have a Flixter account, add me. If you don't, you should make one. ANYWAY.

Love and Other Disasters

"Love and Other Disasters" is one of those ridiculous movies you can't help but love. Brittany Murphy is very funny and adorable, as is everybody else involved. It's like "Sex and the City" meets any Meg Ryan movie, and it works. Oh, and it has a perfect ending, with two great cameos!

Boy A

Now, this one is really good. It's a heart-breaking, and at times, unsettling story that will probably leave you breathless. Andrew Garfield gave an amazing, Oscar-worthy performance!

American Psycho

I am not sure how I feel about this movie. I enjoyed it, that's a fact, but it left me expecting more. However, Christian Bale was really, really good (unlike the surprisingly bad Reese Witherspoon), and the movie itself looked really good.

Any thoughts?

Nerd.

Oh wow, is this weird or what? I am at my college right now, sitting in the library, after being late for a lecture which started, like, an hour ago. Anyway, being too embarrassed to walk inside after the professor started teaching (it's allowed, but I just don't like it), I decided to browse some blogs and just enjoy myself. So basically, I got up at 6:30 just to go to the library and use their slow computers. That makes sense.
Yesterday was fun - my friend and I went for drinks (no cocktails though - she had some wine and I had some beer), and then we went back to my place for some "Will & Grace". By the way, her boyfriend thought that I was similar to Jack2000. I beg to differ.

I <3 Sundays, too.

I just love Sundays (and no, I promise you won't have to read about what I like about every single day). But today was fun. Really lazy. First I had a tennis practice, which was great (I worked up quite a sweat) and then it was You-Tubing, listening to music and same faux-studying.
What's weird is I haven't watched a single episode of any show today. It's REALLY weird for me. I mean, it's not like I have no choices - I have "Ally McBeal", "Gilmore Girls", "QaF" and "Will & Grace" episodes waiting for me to watch them, but I just wasn't in the mood. TV shows overload, I guess.
I am so excited to go out tonight and see my BFF after a REALLY long time. Since college started, we can't manage to see each other regularly (which is, like, twice a day). She is one of the three people who know EVERYTHING about me, and someone I need in order to maintain my sanity. So yeah, tonights gonna be fun. I'm in the mood for cocktails myself. :D

The Dark Knight...

...was a little disappointing, in my opinion. Sure, Heath Ledger was great, but that's pretty much it. Overlong, boring at times, and without any focus. Not to mention how over-hyped it is.
So, today is Halloween, which needless to say, I don't celebrate. It's not that I'm opposed to Halloween, it's just that I always completely forget about it, and then when it comes to dressing up and stuff, I'm always like, nah. So why should today be any different? Most of my friends are at a costume party right now, and I went to the movies, and went to college. Yeah.
Ooh, and I wanna share this with you. I ran into the most of perfect video of the most perfect song performed by the most perfect male singer EVER! Check it out below!

I <3 Fridays

Mm, do I love Fridays or what? Basically, I only have one lesson in college on Fridays, and it's from 7:30-9 PM, followed by some heavy partying. Yum.

I am now sitting in the room of my best friend (or one of my three best friends, to be fair), and waiting for her to finish taking a shower and get ready for our night out. Nothing fancy, just a couple of drinks with friends before heading home. The bad thing is I can't stay out for a very long time, since I have a tennis lesson tomorrow morning, but anyway, it's always fun.

And I love how when I go out each week-end (or on a week-day, doesn't really matter to me), I'm always very optimistic - I am ready to have a great time, flirt, etc. Usually, though, it's just okay - but when it's amazing, it makes it all worth waiting for.

Anyways, today was really fun in college. Well, interesting at least. We had a "British Rennaisance and Medieval Drama" class, and we were discussing Marlowe's "Faustus". Basically, we were talking about tragic characters who, while trying to revert their fatal destinies, only made it worse. The examples given were Hamlet, Edipus and, finally,... Lord Voldemort! Which actually makes sense if your really think about it, but yeah... I though it was really cool. :)

One of my addictions...

I am not even sure if anyone reads this (although people SHOULD, especially when I make it exclusively for THEM and then TELL them about it), but anyway, here's another post.

One of the TV shows I've always been fond of is "Ally McBeal". Although it is a silly, funny, chick series, I can't help but always think there is a deeper truth in every episode. And not to mention how Ally and I are similar. But we won't go into that.

Anyways, my friend Ana has recently lent me seasons 3, 4 and 5, and I am seriously hooked (yet again). So yeah, that's what I wanted to share with you. Groundbreaking stuff.

Oh, and another one of my addictions that I've indulged myself in yesterday is period movies! And not just any period movie, but "Becoming Jane" with Anne Hathaway! I completely loved the movie, and although it was basically the same movie as "Pride and Prejudice" (my favorite, or at least one of them), the ending just blew me away! Highly recommended.

Online again!

Finally, I have DSL again. Wow, who knew that moving would be so exhausting!? Just to introdue you to the situation - I've moved, like, two streets down the block into a new (fab!) flat, but it took me like ages to get accustomed - and get internet! So now, I'm insanely happy.

There you go. Oh, and also, I guess I haven't really told you why my blog is entitled "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk". So, here -

I am a big Rufus Wainwright fan. The only thing is, with his music, I have phases where I can't stop listening to his albums, and phases when I think I'm gonna puke if I hear another song. It's weird, but anyway, one of my favorite Rufus songs is "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk", so that's the title of my blog (for now).

Kisses.

So, yeah...

...welcome.

My 100th blog ever, and this one is in English. Basically, I have too many friends who do not speak Serbian, so I thought it would be a good idea if I started writing my daily bs in english for them. There you go.

And to give you an idea of what this is gonna look like, I saw a movie last night. "Because I Said So". Avoid at all costs, but if you can, do answer this mystery to me - why are Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore allowed to act? OK, I can understand about Diane, but MANDY!? It's been a while since I've seen anyone that obnoxious on film.

Anyways, that's it for now.

Oh, and also: Comments are greatly appreciated. :)
